24-year-old medium pace bowler Abu Jayed is going to make his debut as the 88th Test player for Bangladesh in the match while this game is the 13th Test meeting between the two nations since December 2002

Rubel Hossain and Kamrul Islam are also playing after more than a year for Bangladesh while the home side is playing with the same team that played in their last Test against Sri Lanka, with Shimron Hetmyer and Keemo Paul on the bench.

Sabbir Rahman, Abdur Razzak and Mustafizur Rahman aren’t a part of the Bangladesh team now when Shimron Heytmer, who missed the series against Sri Lanka due to illness, returns to the squad after hitting a century in the warm-up game.
