Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today disclosed that the new cabinet of the new government will be formed by January 10.
The minister made the comment while responding to journalists at Dhanmondi in the capital on Tuesday.
Private TV station NEWS24, a sister concern of the daily Kalerkantho, has reported the news.
Earlier in the day, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said that the newly elected Members of Parliament will take oath on January 3.
Hasanul Haq Inu made the disclosure while talking to reporters at his secretariat office in the capital on the day.
The Awami League, the present ruling party in the country, is set to form the government for the third consecutive terms.
Out of 298 seats, the party has gained 259 while Jatiya Party bagged 20 seats and Jatiya Oikyafront only seven in the Sunday’s 11th national polls.
Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda, however, yesterday said that there was an eighty percent voter turnout in the parliamentary elections.
