Two ‘terrorists’ killed in Dhaka ‘gunfight’


Two alleged terrorists were killed in a reported gunfight with Detective Branch (DB) of Police at capital’s Badda area early Thursday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Confirming the news, Badda Police Station Sub-Inspector Abdur Rashid said: “Tipped-off,  a team of detectives conducted a drive in Badda area around 4am to capture the terrorists. Sensing the presence of law enforcers, they  opened fire on them, prompting retaliation that triggered a gunfight.”

“At one stage, police rescued two bullet- injured from the spot and sent them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared them dead,” he added.
