jurnalist Matin Fakir no more

 Journalist  Abdul Matin Fakir , Faridpur district correspondent of the English daily the Independent passed away  on Tuesday night due to age old complications at Diabetict Hospital in the town at around 9pm.

He was 78. He left behind his wife, three sons , a daughter , colleagues and host of relatives to mourn his death .

He was  laid to rest at Alipur Graveyard in Faridpur town after namaz- e- janaja following Zohar prayer today .

Earlier , his body was brought to Faridpur Press Club (FPC) where journalists , different socio cultural bodies and organizations paid him  last tribute placing floral wreaths and garlands to his coffin.

Matin Fakir retired from  Govt Saroda Sundari Mahila College in Faridpur as an Associate Professor of  Social Welfare department in 2018.

He led a very simple and plain life and worked as a journalist in the English daily The Independent.

Faridpur Press Club President Md Imtiaz Hasan Rubel expressed deep shock at his death   and also have shown  profound sympathy to his bereaved family members
